A New Heading

Christmas 2014 was about the time that a personal revival started taking place in my life. I had a growing desire to learn, to read, to grow…to lead. There were many catalysts to this revival and as each piece fell into place, I knew that God was preparing us for a New Heading.
Some of those catalysts were:
Becoming a morning person
Starting a quality prayer life
More focus in Quiet Time
Becoming a reader
Slowing down, Being still
Reading ‘Gospel Primer’ by Milton Vincent
Applying to Grad School
Creating a Life Plan
Getting a compass from my dad for Christmas…
Yeah, when I opened it up, it looked cool, but I wasn’t sure what I’d do with it. My dad is awesome, he nostalgic and uses words sparingly, but wisely. He has taught me as much through his example as he has through his words. Well, this little plaque and it’s inscription have been a constant reminder to me that whether you are cruising on the road of normal life or getting off unexpectedly at the next exit, you need to be all there.
In April/May of 2016 God gave us the New Heading of Chile. We weren’t looking for this or expecting this, but it came. We just need to follow His lead, set the new course and make the transition. Although I knew 2 years ago that God was preparing us for a new heading, I didn’t know when it would come or where it would take us. God used that personal revival to prepare me to follow Him when that time came.
Thanks Dad and Mom
I would highly suggest a personal revival 🙂
